Biology and Biochemistry Laboratory Website for Dr.Larijani at Simon Fraser University

I designed and developed the website for the Larijani Lab at Simon Fraser University (larijani.ca), focusing on creating an intuitive and responsive user experience that effectively presents educational content for students and researchers. The project combined web design skills with instructional design principles to deliver a seamless and informative platform. Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I built a clean and modern interface with a mobile-first approach to ensure accessibility across different devices. I also optimized the site’s loading speed and applied SEO best practices to enhance its visibility and user engagement. From an instructional design perspective, I applied the ADDIE model to structure the content logically, facilitating easy navigation through different research areas and resources. The site’s information architecture was carefully designed to help users access educational materials effortlessly, supporting self-directed learning. To make the scientific content more comprehensible, I integrated multimedia elements such as images and videos, enhancing the clarity and retention of complex information. This approach resulted in a 30% increase in website traffic within the first three months of launch and significantly improved user engagement, with visitors spending an average of over 4 minutes per page. The website received positive feedback from both students and faculty for its professional design and effective presentation of educational resources.
